DayQuil 

• Acetaminophen - 325 mg
• Dextromethorphan HBr - 10 mg
• Phenylephrine HCl - 5 mg

NyQuil

• Acetaminophen - 325 mg
• Dextromethorphan HBr - 15 mg
• Doxylamine Succinate - 6.25 mg
  

DayQuil

• Nasal congestion, cough due to minor throat & bronchial irritation, sore throat, headache, minor aches & pains, fever

NyQuil

• Cough due to minor throat & bronchial irritation, sore throat, headache, minor aches & pains, fever, runny nose & sneezing

Adults & Children 12 years of age and over

• DayQuil - take 2 LiquiCaps with water, every 4 hours 
  
• NyQuil - take 2 LiquiCaps with water every 6 hours 
• Do not exceed 8 LiquiCaps per 24 hours

Children 4 years to under 12 years of age

Do not use 

• With any other drug containing acetaminophen (prescription or non-prescription) If you are not sure whether a drug contains acetaminophen, ask a doctor or pharmacist
• You are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression,
  psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or
  Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after
  stopping the MAOI drug
• If you do not know if your prescription drug
  contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or
  pharmacist before taking this product

Ask a doctor before use of both products if you have

• Liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, glaucoma
• Trouble urinating due to enlarged prostate gland
• Cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus)
• Persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use of both products

• Taking a blood thinning drug 
• Taking sedatives or tranquilizers

When using these products

• Do not use more than directed
• Excitability may occur, especially in children
• Marked drowsiness may occur
• Avoid alcoholic drinks
• Be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery
• Alcohol, sedatives & tranquilizers may increase drowsiness

Stop use and ask a doctor if

• You get nervous, dizzy or sleepless
• Pain, nasal congestion or cough get worse or last more than 7 days
• Fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days
• New symptoms occur
• Cough comes back or occurs with rash or headache that lasts
  (These could be signs of a serious condition)

If pregnant or breastfeeding

• Ask a healthcare professional before use

* In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Quick medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms
